Once upon a time, in Japan's Heian period, there was a pair of demons: Shuten-doji and Ibaraki-doji.

They were diabolic, and so soon people who sought to put an end to their mischief appeared: Abe Seimei, an onmyoji of the time, and the famous demon hunter Minamoto no Yorimitsu.

Shuten-doji was the first to bite the dust, specifically in the Oeyama mountain range. Ibaraki-doji, meanwhile, managed to escape narrowly at first, but the legendary sword of the Minamoto clan, the Beard Cutter, soon cut his beard too.

Here's a true story that looks like a fake one. What if this pair of demons were reincarnated as high school students in today's Asakusa?

The tale of this couple shall begin! Ibaraki-doji, the "demon wife", and Shuten-doji..., the "husband in love" who is unable to disagree with his wife!
