![]() | Xesús Franco, the sailor who lost the seaXesús Franco (the sailor who lost the sea) started his literary career in the newspapers Pueblo Gallego and Faro de Vigo. After taking part in several radio stations (Onda Galicia and Radio Vigo, among others) and founding the Galician Prize of the Critics, he set sail and spent several years as a sailor in ships with different nationalities. He worked as a manager in Edicións Xerais in Galicia and Dom Quixote in Portugal, concluding his professional career as a technician of publishing in the Provincial Government in Pontevendra. He has also been a collaborator in the radio program Esto me suena. Las tardes del ciudadano García, in RNE. Among his literary merits he has been awarded the Poetry Prize Martín Códax. |
