MARINA LOMAR

After spending her childhood and part of her teenage years in the outskirts in Paris, she moved to Spain. She is a doctor in French literature by the University Jaume I in Castellón, where she lectures French language and literature. She combines her teaching and research tasks with many cultural activities around literature (creative writing workshops, Spanish translations of French-speaking authors, conferences, collaborations in media –she is a regular collaborator of Pegando la hebra’s cultural radio program, where she has a little monthly space called Enlazadas), and she has published many essays and articles in relevant national and international journals on topics like crime fiction, French literature, women on literature or about violence and sexuality in the literature written by women.

Her true vocation is narration. After having published short stories in several anthologies she jumps now with the novel Trampantojo, where she combines narrative perfection and language management with the precision and rhythm typical in poetry, in a plot that shows her understanding of current society and its complex relationships.
